După o perioadă de testare în rețelele de cablu ale RCS-RDS, Irdeto a anunțat oficial că a semnat contractul prin care devine furnizor de tehnologie de acces condiționat pentru conținutul video oferit de RCS-RDS în rețelele sale. Este vorba de CAM-uri produse de firma SMiTH și care incorporează Software-based Irdeto Cloaked CA, cardless tehnology (pe scurt: CAM-uri fără cartelă). Pe lângă gradul ridicat de protecție noile CAMuri oferă o flexibilitate foarte ridicată, acestea putând fi adaptate la nenumărate modele de receivere lărgind astfel opțiunile operatorului, precizează cei de la Irdeto.
