Regarding the situation you encounter with your Galaxy device, we would like to inform you that, in conditions of long-term use of certain applications, the heating of the device is a normal behavior.
When you run multiple applications, the processor processes more tasks and, as a result, additional heat is emitted. This happens on most electronic devices (even computers / laptops), including devices from other manufacturers.
The reasons why your phone may overheat are as follows:
• During the initial setup after purchase or when restoring data
• Intensive use of the camera
• Using applications that require more power or using applications for long periods of time
• While multitasking (or when running many background applications)
• Exposed to extreme heat
• Ventilation blocked
• Charging the battery with a damaged USB cable
• The USB jack of the device is damaged or exposed to foreign matter, such as liquid, dust, etc.
Here are ways to effectively cool your phone:
• Keep your device up to date with the latest software
• Remove the phone cover
• Make sure that the phone is not exposed to direct sunlight
• Reduce the brightness of the display
• Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth when not in use
• Shut down applications that increase battery consumption or run in the background when not in use
• Delete unnecessary files or unused applications.
You can also check the device by activating Safe Mode.
Safety mode is activated by restarting the phone. At restart, when the Samsung logo appears on the screen, pressing the Volume Down button until the phone enters the main screen.
Using the device in this mode, you will be able to test the functionality of the phone, having only the system applications active.
Safety mode is deactivated by simply restarting the terminal.
We remain at your disposal in the future for other information!
If the situations continues in Safe Mode too, we recommend you to perform a factory reset from your device settings, but before that you should save your data using Smart Switch:
You can download Smart Switch program from the link below:
http://www.samsung.com/ro/support/smartswitch/
In order to be able to determine if the app is working properly or not you will have to perform the checks listed above, if the situation persists after trying all these, then a service diagnose will be necessary in order to be able to determinate it's cause. But yes, a 15 minutes use of the camera especially using it on it's best performance can cause overheating.
