SPI International has announced new logos and a fresh on-air look for its FilmBox channels.

The new look is applied onto all FilmBox movie channels available across Central and Eastern Europe.

“The brand refresh has been implemented in order to better position FilmBox as a growing and continuously expanding brand and to shift from a “package” feeling to a more “conceptual” brand name, which is associated with an extensive portfolio of diverse movie and thematic channels (blockbuster hits, award-winning films, action and family movies, documentaries, music, fight, extreme sports, fashion, lifestyle, music, adult, etc.),” according to the broadcaster.

“Another important objective behind the brand refresh was to present a modern, simple and unified set of logos, which will make it easier for viewers and platform partners to identify each channels as one that belongs to a larger portfolio under the FilmBox umbrella.”

The new on-air look on Filmbox movie channels features white background as opposed to the previously dominating black and dark tones. “We want to lighten up our brand and to bring more energy to our channels’ look”, explains Berk Uziyel, Director of FilmBox and New Media for SPI International.

All the creative work, the new logo concept and the new on-air identification were developed and designed in-house by the joint FilmBox Marketing and Art department team in Warsaw, Poland.

The FilmBox brand is comprised of basic, extended basic and premium movie channels: FilmBox, FilmBox HD, FilmBox Extra, FilmBox Extra 1, FilmBox Family, FilmBox Action HD and FilmBox Plus.

In the last two years SPI International also launched a bouquet of worldwide entertainment channels: FightBox HD, DocuBox HD, FashionBox HD and most recently added an independent movie channel FilmBox Arthouse, a cutting-edge 360TuneBox music channel and Fast&FunBox featuring extreme sports.

FilmBox movie channels are currently offered by most of the major DTH platforms and cable operators in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
